Q: I've never mentored a group before. Will I be good enough?
A: Absolutely. We provide facilitation training and pair new mentors with experienced ones. Plus, our community is incredibly supportive - just ask in Slack.
Q: What if my topic has been covered before?
A: Perfect! Topics evolve, and fresh perspectives are valuable. Previous mentors often step back, and you might divide into specialized subtopics or collaborate.
Q: How do I choose the right mentees?
A: Look for genuine curiosity, specific challenges they want to solve, and commitment to participate actively. We'll guide you through the selection process.
Q: What if mentees drop out during the program?
A: It happens. Focus on those who remain engaged, and don't take it personally. Some may have work or personal circumstances change.
Q: Can I charge for additional 1:1 sessions after the program?
A: The program itself is free, but many mentors offer paid consulting afterward. Just keep it separate from the community program.
Q: How many people should be in my track?
A: 5-15 participants works well. For first-time mentors, we recommend starting with 5-10 to make facilitation manageable. Just be aware, that there is a natural drop along the way, not everyone is going to make it to all the sessions.
